Animal Problems?

However, wildlife can become destructive pests damaging landscaped area, homes and other buildings and commonly contribute to erosion, slope failure and water loss. Additionally, they often carry diseases such as: Bubonic Plague, Murine Typhus, Rabies, Histoplasmosis, Salmonella (food poisoning), Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and others. Ectoparasites such as fleas, lice, ticks and mites are also present on most of these animals and can cause additional problems long after the animal host is removed.
Ground squirrels and rats are known to carry fleas that can spread Bubonic Plague. Pigeon nesting and roosting areas are always infested with bird lice and mites. Not to mention the fecal matter that is accumulated every where. Swallow nests are harborages for Swallow Bugs which are bloodsucking cousins of Bed Bugs and can take up residence in your home.
